The Election Commission says that
the Election Expenses Regulation Act will be enforced for the upcoming presidential election.
When inquired by Ada Derana, the Elections Commissioner General Saman Sri Rathnayake emphasized that this act will be enforced for every upcoming election, except for a referendum.
He further clarified that all the political party secretaries, government officials and other related parties have been informed regarding the implementation of this act.
