The Department of Meteorology has issued an
“Amber” level advisory for heavy rain, strong winds and rough seas for multi-day boats in the West-central Bay of Bengal deep sea areas.
In its advisory, the department said the depression located over the West-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal has crossed North Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha coasts of India today morning (01).
Accordingly, the Met. Department said that it is likely to weaken into a low-pressure area during the next 24 hours.
Thus, naval and fishing communities are requested to be vigilant while engaging in fishing and naval activities in the above-sea areas.
