A group of assailants has fired shots into a house
located at Galwarushawa Road in Athurugiriya early this morning (March 27). According to reports, the establishment is owned by a criminal gang member named Manoj Muthukumarana alias “Muthuwa”.
Ada Derana correspondent said no casualties were reported in the incident despite the assailants having fired at least 7 shots into the house.
It is understood that “Muthuwa”, who operates from overseas, was complicit in a number of criminal activities reported in Athurugiriya and Nawagamuwa areas in the recent past.
