The Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) has accused that several Government ministers are concealing the General Secretary of the Our People’s Power Party (OPPP) Venerable
Vadinagala Wimalatissa Thero.
General Secretary of the BBS Venerable Galabodaatte Gnanasara Thero said an elaborate plan had been executed to prevent the OPPP from legally entering the Parliament via its National List seat.
The OPPP fell into a crisis after winning one National List seat in the General Elections held in August.
Members of the Party after much deliberation had reached a common consensus to appoint Venerable Gnanasara Thero via the National List, but the OPPP’s General Secretary was reported missing prior to the day to submit the nomination to the National Election Commission.
