Parliament seeks public opinion on newly appointed Ambassadors

 

The parliament of Sri Lanka has issued a press release seeking the public’s opinion on the new ambassadors nominated recently for various Sri Lankan Missions overseas.  

The suitability of these individuals will be examined by the Committee on High Posts of the Parliament.

 

Admiral (Retd.) K.K.V.P. Harischandra de Silva - nominated as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan 

Vishramal Sanjiv Gunasekara - nominated as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Japan

Asoka Milinda Moragoda - nominated as the High Commissioner of Sir Lanka to the Republic of India

Ravinatha Ariyasinha- nominated as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the United States of America

Professor Kshanika Hirimburegama- nominated as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the French Republic

Dr. Palitha Kohona- nominated as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the People’s Republic of China

 

Organizations or persons willing to make representations in this regard have been requested to send their signed written memoranda under registered cover to The Secretary, Committee on High Posts, Committee Office, Parliament of Sri Lanka, Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte on or before 23 September 2020.
