The body of a woman who had died under suspicious circumstances
has been found inside a house in the Kaluwalagoda area of Uragasmanhandiya.
The body of the 50-year-old woman who is suspected to have died a few days ago, was found on a bed in the house, the police said.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the woman was staying alone at home and that her husband was away for work at the time of the incident.
The body of the deceased has been placed in the mortuary of Elpitiya Hospital for the post-mortem examination, and Uragasmanhandiya Police are conducting further investigations regarding the death.
