Two foreign women, who were attempting to smuggle 500 grams
of cocaine have been arrested by the Customs officials attached to the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake.
According to customs spokesperson, one woman had swallowed 29 capsules of cocaine while the other had swallowed 11 capsules.
The market value of the 40 capsules is estimated to be around Rs. 20 million.
