Minister of Highways Johnston Fernando has criticized businessmen who have implemented self-imposed restrictions by suspending business operations in some cities.
Businesses in several areas had suspended operations due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus in Sri Lanka.
Speaking to reporters today, Minister Fernando said “shops have been closed to make the country inactive. Opposition politicians are behind it”
